Google will soon let you edit Microsoft Office Files within Google Docs
Google just after announcing in-app editing and sharing of Slides, Sheets and Google Docs Within Dropbox, will now let you edit Office files like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in Google Docs without converting them to Google Format. Google will provide native support for file formats such as .xls, .xlsx, .xlsm, .xlt for Excel files, .doc, .docx, .dot for Word files and .ppt, .pptx, .pps, .pot for PowerPoint files. As of now, this feature will be rolling in April or May for G Suite customers and later coming for regular customers.
