Which 10 apps Google recently banned and removed from Google Play Store?

Google recently removed popularly used apps from Google Play Store for violating its policies as Google has its own terms and conditions that every developer, as well as app user, need to follow in order to avoid account suspension by Google or direct banning of apps in Google Play Store like Sarahah, an anonymous messaging app that was removed from Google Play Store following reports of Bullying and user abuse.

Here is the list of 10 most commonly used apps banned by Google Play Store.

Sarahah

This popularly used app which allowed users to send and reply to messages without letting anyone know your identity was banned by Google following Katrina Collins' petition.
According to Children's NGO, "Sarahah is ready-made for cyberbullying.

US-based NGO Common Sense Media said, "Because all comments are anonymous, it's very easy for people to say mean and hurtful things without any repercussions. Reviews on the App Store indicate that Sarahah is being used as a cyberbullying tool."

CM Installer

CyanogenMod Installer which allowed Android users to change their device firmware to CyanogenMod, a free installer that provides additional features to your device without having to root them has been removed from Google Play Store. The reason for its removal is still unknown.

TubeMate

This app allowed smartphone users to directly download YouTube videos without even watching them, unlike YouTube. This app too was removed from Google Play Store as it violated Google's policies wherein users were not allowed to download YouTube videos. Since YouTube now allows offline viewing of videos, removal of this app is not a big problem.

Amazon Underground

Amazon Underground, Android app offered by Amazon through which users can freely download and obtain in-app items that would otherwise be purchased by paying has been removed from Google Play Store. This app too violated Google's terms of service.
However, you can sideload the app by downloading the file directly from Amazon, okaying installation of apps from "unknown sources" and installing it yourself.

Grooveshark

Grooveshark, the alternative of Pandora allowed users to upload digital audio files, which could then be streamed and organized in playlists. Google removed this app because of legal issues raised by Recording Industry Association of America resulting in Grooveshark ceasing its business.

PSX4Droid

This popular app allowed users to play PlayStation games on their Android devices. Following copyright issues, this app was removed from Google Play Store.

AdAway

AdAway app limited unwanted ads by blocking servers that distribute these ads to websites. AdAway used a file called 'hosts' which contained a list that matches server names with addresses which the system used to reach a particular server. This ban was not unexpected as Google makes most of its money from selling advertising opportunities on the search pages.

Popcorn Time

This app provided users a free alternative to subscription-based video streaming services such as Netflix. This too got removed from Google Play Store following copyright infringement.

RushPoker

One of the new poker game, which gained immense popularity mostly among minors was banned by Google Play store as it became a platform for money gambling.

TV Portal

This app which let users stream almost any TV show or movie for free was banned by Google Play Store because of copyright issues.
