Over the past few weeks, Google announced major re-design features and updates in Gmail on the Web including email shortcuts, Smart Reply, Nudge for replies, Confidential mode, and native offline mode.
Now, Gmail for Android has come up with a new feature to let you customize left and right swipes in the latest updated Android App version 8.5.20.
Gmail's swipe gesture gives you five choices to either archive, delete, mark as read or unread, move, or snooze an email.
Earlier, swiping an email used to archive it by default, leaving you with no other choice.
To enable the Swipe action feature, go to Settings, tap on General settings and select Swipe actions. There you can choose left and right swipes from the available options as per preference.
This Swipe gesture will now give Gmail users a more comfortable way to manage their Inbox and also provide faster interaction within the Gmail app.
The latest version of the app is free to download at our marketplace and can also be installed from Google Play Store using the given-below link.
