Uber launching Uber Lite App in India, initially starting from these Indian cities

Uber, the most preferred ride-sharing company is soon going to launch Uber Lite: built in India, designed for the world.

Uber lite is a lighter version of the Uber App that saves space, works in any network and available across any Android phone.
Uber lite is just a 5 MB download and will surely give your phone space for other apps. It is mainly designed to make bookings faster and easier even in low connectivity areas with limited data plans.

It even has many existing Uber features like in-app support and the ability to share your trip with friends and family.

Suggested pickups points: Uber lite uses riders current location and in case if it can't detect your location because of GPS or network issues, it guides you to choose popular pickup points near you.

Optional Maps: Uber lite gives you full freedom to opt out of maps unlike Uber, where maps are provided by default. In case you don't want to load the map, you can still track driver's progress through a progress bar.
This will keep the app light and fast. Also, with just a tap, the map will be available for you within the app.

No network service: The app caches the city's top places and even when you are in no network area or offline, you can still book your ride.
Uber lite is also said to provide support in 7 regional languages.

Initially, Uber lite will be available in three Indian cities Delhi, Hyderabad and Jaipur followed by other cities and coming to other countries later this year.
