Telegram latest Android update adds 2X playback, replacing media content and much more

Telegram, a cloud-based messaging app with over 200 million active users recently announced some interesting new features in its Android app version 4.8.10 and iOS version 4.8.3

Add captions and replace photos and videos
What if you accidentally sent a wrong picture on Telegram? Earlier, the only way to delete a media in Telegram was to delete the message for everyone and then send a new media. But now, you can simply replace the media by tapping on the image to be replaced, selecting edit and tapping on the paperclip button to change photo or video. While editing the media, you can even add a caption to the photo or video.

Mark your chats Read/Unread
Telegram now lets you mark you chats Read/Unread by just long pressing the chat and tapping on Read or Unread swipe action on the chat.

Playback time doubled for voice and video messages
Friends sending long voice or video messages and you just want to speed up the whole process of listening to it. Telegram's 2X playback feature lets you do the same by just tapping on 2x icon near to the video or voice message.

Option to select which additional contact info you want to share
Usually, while adding a new contact, we save many additional fields like work, Address, Birthday. Now in Telegram, while sharing any contact Info, you can select what all fields or data you want to share.

Android users can now make text URLs using "create link" in the format menu, view chats in the chat list by tapping and holding profile picture and even cancel the messages before they are sent.

The latest version of the app is free to download at our marketplace and can also be installed from Google Play Store using the given-below link.
